Paddock Hair Styles 4-8
September 25th 2007 22:08
Marti is a laid back, wash and wear sort of guy. He strikes me as the type who doesn't bother to shave on the weekends and goes out to dinner in whatever he happened to throw on this morning.
Geri likes the ladies very much, but is quite an insecure fellow deep down. He gets very sad if a girl rejects him. He feels the need to over-compensate for his shyness with big hair and lots of posturing.
Old Bob is a senior gentleman, a man of the world. A cardigan wearer. Disciplined and no nonsense, he keeps the young boys in line. Bob’s a short back and sides fellow.
Rainy’s a youngster still finding his place in the world. He likes to just stand and check you out from under his big fluffy eyebrows and flat top.

Hi Cybele. Marti is an adorable alpaca. Super quiet (for a boy) and cute as a button too.

I like Marti's hair the best - casual cool
I didn't realise Alpacas had any such personalities - we saw them at the Melb show recently and they just seemed like scared sheep!
What are they like as pets??

The shows freak the alpacas out. All the noise and people everywhere. It's totally out of their normal environment.
They're like any animal (or human), they're all the same until you stop and take notice. That's when you see that they each have their own individual personality.
They're definitely not ego-boosting animals like dogs, probably more like a cat if you had to compare them with a "pet" animal. If you spend lots of time with them you can get them so you can hug them (if you're that way inclined), but they're not naturally touchy feely animals, they prefer their personal space and the company of other alpacas. Cheers.

Thanks for that. I've heard they like to live with sheep and I always thought they were JUST GORGEOUS but unfortunately not the snuggly pet I was hoping for.
Guess I'll just stick to puppies
Thanks again - very informative.
