Paddock Portraits 2

Here’s Magic. He’s now 4 months old but is already as big (or bigger) than a couple of the 6 month olds. Magic is from my beautiful girl Maralyn who is a lovely calm natured alpaca. Magic is a friendly little guy and he’s soooooo soft! He may well be stud potential, he’s already looking fantastic (and he knows it).
Little Lily is our last baby of the season, she’s three months old. So tiny and delicate, Lily generally just stays at the back of the herd. (The youngest is quite often the lowest in the pecking order). She’s gorgeous though. Lily is a suri, so her fleece sways and shimmers like silk when she runs. She’s still quite timid but both her mum and dad are very personable alpacas, so we’re hoping Lily will inherit that trait and gain her confidence as she grows up.
And last, but not least is Madeline (Maddy). She was one of last year’s babies, so she’s all grown up now, but still very, very cute. Maddy is Magic’s full sister and has also inherited their mum’s lovely nature.

I love the close-up of Maddy and Magic looks such an alert, proud boy. Holly's little ringlets do look 'very suri' and quite fashionable....she seems a sweetie.
It's amazing that 2 such different colours as Magic's and Maddy's were produced from the same parents. I love that caramel ( milk coffee?) colour and am keeping my fingers crossed thatHis Lordship Cappucino throws one- or both- my expected crias that colour next year
Wish I had the problem that I couldn't get too far away when taking a photo, although little Anika is fascinated by my black crocs and comes up close to crane and snake her neck at them...but I still can't touch her...
